This is the first hexagon quilt I made from an old skirt, charity shop finds and a few new fat quarters.
I made this without any special equipment, just a cardboard template to draw round and lots of hexagon templates made from junk mail. The backing is a curtain lining and hand quilted.
It's by no means perfect, I didn't really work out the pattern or size of the quilt, got a bit carried away sewing the hexagons together (my favourite bit) but I enjoyed making it, and on a chilly evening its lovely and warm.
